Discovery Mining Closes $3.2 Million E-Discovery Strategic Partnership

SAN FRANCISCO, CA June 22, 2006 - Discovery Mining, Inc., a leader in electronic discovery technology, announced today a strategic partnership with EVault, Inc., the leader in online data protection solutions.

In addition to collaborating on major marketing initiatives, EVault made a $3.2 million investment in Discovery Mining; the proceeds from the investment will be used to accelerate the growth of Discovery Mining's massive data processing capacity and to further the development and sales of its Litigation and Compliance/Archiving technology solutions. Used nationally by top law firms and leading enterprises, Discovery Mining offers industry-leading cluster computing technologies to manage email and other electronic documents for litigation, regulation, retention and review.

Matthew Work, CEO of Discovery Mining, said the new funding will provide the capital to build on the company's current profitability and take it to the next level. "The vital pieces, backup and archiving, and electronic discovery, will come together to form a single market, making Discovery Mining and EVault a well-matched partnership," Work said. "We are pleased to be associated with such a successful and established organization as EVault."

"Supporting e-discovery is a natural step for EVault given our history and success in the data protection market and our product strategy, which includes archiving," said Phil Gilmour, president and CEO, EVault, Inc. "We are looking forward to collaborating with Discovery Mining as EVault builds on its portfolio to support specialized industry needs such as e-discovery."
